Architecture

Choosing the right data store for your workload

Fabric offers multiple storage options — lakehouse, warehouse, Eventhouse, SQL database — and each suits different workloads. Picking the wrong one can mean rebuilding later, but the tradeoffs aren't always obvious until you've seen them play out.

Data Engineering

Pipelines that work in dev but break in production

No error handling, no monitoring, no alerting. Connections that break after deployment or when the developer who set them up is gone. A pipeline fails overnight and nobody knows until a business user notices the report hasn't updated.

Semantic Modeling

Reports that are slow, wrong, or both

Lakehouses & Warehouses

Lakehouses and warehouses are both built on OneLake, but they serve different needs and suit different workloads. We help you understand the tradeoffs, choose the right approach for your scenario, or design a solution that uses both, and build a storage layer that performs well and integrates cleanly with the rest of your Fabric environment.

Data Pipelines

Reliable data ingestion and transformation are the foundation of any analytics platform. We design and build pipelines and copy jobs that move and shape your data efficiently, with monitoring, error handling, and scheduling that ensure reliability and resiliency.

Notebooks

When transformations are too complex, too large, or too custom for other approaches, notebooks give you the full power of Spark and Python. They are also among the most cost-efficient options in Fabric in terms of capacity consumption. We build them to integrate cleanly with your broader Fabric architecture, including source control, parameterization, and orchestration.

Semantic Models

A well-designed semantic model is what separates a report people trust from one they ignore. We build semantic models with clean relationships, efficient DAX, and row-level security, so your data is consistent and governed for self-service use.

Power BI & Paginated Reports

We design and build Power BI reports that actually get used, with clear layouts, meaningful visuals, and interactions that help people answer questions instead of generating more confusion. Where pixel-perfect output is needed, we build paginated reports for operational reporting, invoices, statements, and anything that needs to print or export reliably.

Mirrored Databases

Mirroring lets you bring data from external sources — Azure SQL, Snowflake, Azure Cosmos DB, and others — into OneLake without building ETL pipelines. We help you determine where mirroring fits in your architecture and set it up so the data is available, governed, and queryable alongside everything else in Fabric.

Fabric SQL Database

Fabric SQL Database is a fully managed, serverless SQL database that lives natively inside Fabric, integrated with OneLake and the rest of the platform from the start. We help you understand when it's the right fit and build on it in a way that connects cleanly to your pipelines, semantic models, and reports.

Real-Time Intelligence

When batch pipelines aren't fast enough, Fabric's Real-Time Intelligence workload — Eventstream for streaming ingestion and Eventhouse for KQL-based analytics — makes it possible to query and act on data as it arrives. We design and build real-time architectures for the scenarios where seconds matter.

Data Activator

Data Activator monitors your data in real time and triggers alerts or automated actions when conditions are met, notifying stakeholders, starting workflows, or calling external systems without requiring manual intervention. We implement Data Activator as part of a broader solution so the right people are informed the moment something needs attention.

Architecture Design & Advisory

Not every engagement needs us to build everything. Sometimes you need an expert to evaluate your current approach, identify the gaps, and give your team a clear path forward.
